Texas Freeze Law Awareness/Education Seminars |
September is National Preparedness Month
Every year, thousands of people fall victims to natural disasters - ranging from blizzards, wildfires, floods, tornadoes, and hurricanes. These disasters wreak havoc on families, homes and entire communities all across America. People are reminded to take action to prepare before these events happen but sometimes they occur without warning. Our lives can be changed in an instant by a number of different emergencies and financial disaster is just around the corner when you are not prepared.
In conjunction with the Emergency Management Office and Homeland Security National Preparedness Month , our organization is conducting “Special Identity Theft Awareness and Prevention Seminars in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex during the months of September and October 2007.
We will have step by step procedures on how to safeguard you financial documents, passwords (both credit cards and on-line) and other important documents most take for granted until they are not there.
We worked with over a thousand victims from Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Simple questions such as, “What is your bank address and phone number in case of emergency”? Some of the banks are still closed and some will never reopen. Where is the money in theses accounts, especially the small local banks? The Texas Legislature has taken action. Now it is time for all Texas consumers to take action to freeze, lock-down, or close-the-barn-door on all "Identity Thieves" that want to operate within the borders of Texas.
It is foolish not to use this new law. Since February 2005 (Choice Point) to LA Fitness (June 2007) there has been over 150 million records exposed in various security breaches throughout the U.S. Over 50 million have been "Victims of Identity Theft" according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) since 2000.
The number continues to grow each year by approximately nine to ten million new victims. Your odds are one in three you will be a victim. Are you willing to roll the dice?
If you have a church, civic group, or business organization, we have a “Mini-ID Theft Seminar Series” that can be formatted to your needs.

Due to the number of locations in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex and the number of seminars that are planned in other cities throughout Texas, registration will be conducted only through our on-line secured shopping cart.
Public support for the awareness seminars is needed in each host city so we can set aside part of the proceeds to host the "Identity Theft Victims Support Group Workshops".
This support will allow us to offer the 'Identity Theft Victims Workshops" FREE to all victims, because they have already paid enough. Because of the nature of these seminars, individual victim stories will not be discussed during the question and answer period. Remember, we have a limited number of seats, so No-Shows could prevent someone else from attending who really needs to be there.REFUND POLICY: FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE DUE TO LIMITED SEATING. SO PLEASE, ONLY REGISTER IF YOU CAN ATTEND.
IF YOU ARE TRANSFERRING RESERVATIONS TO SOMEONE ELSE, PLEASE BRING ON-LINE CONFIRMATION PRINTOUTS TO SEMINAR AND WE WILL ALLOW YOU TO REPLACE REGISTERED PARTIES SEATING AT THE DOOR.
